Keep Yourself In The Love Of Christ

It’s profoundly essential—especially in the long battle—to keep yourself in the love of Christ. Of course, Scripture says that nothing can ever separate us from His love, but I’m referring to our own heart condition before the Lord. Scripture also says, “Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a dream fulfilled is the tree of life” (Proverbs 13:12). It’s hard to wait a long time for your breakthrough. Especially when you see the culture imploding all around you. If we’re not careful, seeds of despair will take root. We may find ourselves deeply hurt by God because He hasn’t rescued us yet. We can’t make this journey alone. We need others. And they need us. Read this passage from Jude, vv. 20–21:

But you, dear friends, must build each other up in your most holy faith, pray in the power of the Holy Spirit, and await the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ, who will bring you eternal life. In this way, you will keep yourselves safe in God’s love.
