In The School Of Perparation

Daily Truth:

I’ve heard countless folks say that we need to stop asking Why me? And instead ask Why not me? That question is a great equalizer, wouldn’t you say? Do you ever stop to wonder why God has been so very good to you? Why did He save you? Why is He willing to tend to some of the deepest desires of your heart? He’s not too busy to show up at your daughter’s soccer game or meet you in your prayer time or shift the circumstances at work on your behalf. He has reasons for everything He allows in your life. Consider one: Jesus’ disciples were in a storm because Jesus led them there to equip them for their ministry—The disciples’ storm served as a school of preparation. Jesus modeled rest (sleeping in the middle of a raging storm) and authority (speaking to the wind and the waves). There was a demon waiting for them on the other side of the lake, and ministry responsibilities were about to pick up; the disciples needed to know how to both rest in God’s authority and walk in God’s power; Jesus used the storm to teach His disciples and to teach us how to keep our wits when the storms rage. Look for the lesson in your storm.

Romans 8:28 NLT ~ And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.
