A Prayer For Today

Heavenly Father, I love You! Awaken fresh faith in me! Forgive me for the ways I’ve allowed apathy to lull me into caring more about my comfort than I do about Your kingdom. Stir up a passion in my soul, Lord! It’s time for the church to engage, and I know You are calling me to more than I can imagine. In Your name, I reject rejection and accept acceptance. I refuse apathy, and I embrace engagement. Give me a fresh vision for where You are taking me and put fierce faith in me to follow You there. I will guard my heart with all diligence, and I trust You to establish me in Your purposes for me. In Your Son’s name, I pray. Amen.

Romans 12:11-12 NIV ~ Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord. Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.
