Be Bold and Humble
When relationships are strained and issues take centerstage, step back and remember this: we serve a God who means what He says and will do what He promised. May you fear God, not man. May God’s Word be your shining light; not the mob, the crowd, or the culture. Refuse to get lost in the weeds of divisive debate. Hold fast to your convictions but walk in humility and exercise wisdom with every step you take. May you cultivate such a rich and deep relationship with the Lord Jesus that you actually start to feel hopeful instead of hopeless. May you acquire such a taste for His presence that people actually notice the twinkle in your eye. May you grow so confident in His character that you learn to speak with power and pray with precision. You are a part of the coming Kingdom. Walk and live as Jesus did. Upward and onward we go.
Colossians 3:12-15 (NLT) ~ Since God chose you to be the holy people he loves, you must clothe yourselves with tenderhearted mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. Make allowance for each other’s faults, and forgive anyone who offends you. Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others. Above all, clothe yourselves with love, which binds us all together in perfect harmony. And let the peace that comes from Christ rule in your hearts. For as members of one body you are called to live in peace. And always be thankful.
