Parenting is not a formula that guarantees an outcome. It’s a faith-offering that promises a harvest; one that may look different than you imagined. May you see your children as God sees them. May you see yourself as God sees you. You cannot impart what you do not possess. May you be open to the idea that there are still some places within you that God wants to heal and restore. Get a vision for what that might look like. Refuse the temptation to form your children into your own image. They are the handiwork of God Himself. He will show you how to love them, lead them, and pray for them. Don’t borrow tomorrow’s trouble on today’s strength. Be present today, where the grace abounds for you. You can’t control outcomes but you can sow seeds in faith. Ask God to work wonders in and through your family and then trust Him work in His way and in His time. He’s got you. You can do this.
