His Joy Is Your Crown

May you—more and more—become a grateful person. Spend some time with Jesus and thank Him for the good gifts you enjoy. Thank Him for saving grace, new mercies, and the promise of His presence. Thank Him for the successes that have encouraged you onward and for the failures that have kept you humbly grounded. Thank Him for delays where you’ve learned dependence and for breakthroughs that affirm His faithfulness. You can’t know all God has prevented in your life. Thank Him for the countless things that haven’t happened to you. You can’t imagine all of the ways God has provided and intervened on your behalf. Thank Him for His goodness and ask Him to show you His glory. Gratitude changes a person. The world needs more joyful, thankful saints. May you be one of them.

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 (NLT) ~ Always be joyful. Never stop praying. Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus.
